About Giles Mooney
Giles is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser and has been involved in UK tax training for over eleven years. He has been presenting across various media channels for more than eleven years.
Giles started his career with a small firm of accountants and tax advisers, before working as a director of a large professional training company. He has written for a number of publications on various UK tax and business issues including writing PTP's own monthly publication - Professional Tax Update. Giles entertains and educates professionals several days each week running tax seminars throughout the country. He is also the presenter of TAXtv and Accounting TV.
Giles is a partner of The Professional Training Partnership, Managing Director of PTP Ltd and a director of PTP Interactive Ltd and Absolute Software Ltd.
Giles is chairman of Northampton Rowing Club and, when he can find the time, rows competitively himself.
Aim of the Course
This course will familiarise participants with the provisions of the current Finance Bill. All of the major changes in the Finance Bill will be explained, in the context of the clients whose affairs will be affected. Identified planning areas and pitfalls will be covered.
Other current developments in taxation as they affect practitioners and their clients may also be included, depending on the significance and relevance of the Finance Bill.
